Ann Coric, M.D.
Internist, co-founder of Cenestra Health

Ann Coric, M.D., obtained her medical degree from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at North Carolina Baptist Hospital and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Dr. Coric has been a practicing internist in Essex, Connecticut, for the last eight years and is one of the co-founders of Cenestra Health.

Dr. Coric’s clinical practice in Internal Medicine has focused on preventative care and improving overall health maintenance. Dr. Coric became particularly interested in the use of omega-3 supplements after observing a sharp rise in the number of her patients who reported taking omega-3 supplements.

Although Dr. Coric was aware of the vast medical literature regarding the health benefits of omega-3s, she noted that most patients were taking extremely low-purity products that failed to deliver appropriate levels of EPA and DHA. Dr. Coric then set out to develop a highly purified, safe and optimally balanced omega-3 product.

Dr. Coric enlisted the help of a few physician colleagues and joined with two local businesswomen to create Cenestra Health. Omax™, The Ultra-Pure Omega-3 Supplement™, was launched in 2006 as the group’s first product.
